On Friday October 24th at the Capitol Event Theatre in Toronto, friends and supporters of SSO will join together for a very special celebration. The 2008: Iris Ball:The Superhero Edition not only celebrates the end of October Schizophrenia Awareness Month, but pays special tribute to some very heroic individuals.

SSO's signature fundraising gala will, for the first time in its history, honour this year's recipients of the Moving Lives Forward Scholarships.  These scholarships are awarded to people who, despite the challenges of living with schizophrenia, are going back to school to continue their studies and move ever closer to their dreams.
